Hypnotize ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not use the app.

2 Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, as well as information generated through your use of the Service.

Information you provide:

  • Account information such as your name and email address when you register.
  • Goal and questionnaire responses you submit to generate affirmation tracks.
  • Voice and music preferences you select within the app.
  • Communications you send us, including support requests.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device information including device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
  • App usage data such as features used, tracks generated, and session duration.
  • Crash reports and performance diagnostics to help us improve the app.
  • Purchase and subscription status processed through Apple's App Store.
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as health records, financial account details, or biometric data. Your questionnaire answers are used solely for AI generation and are not used to profile you for advertising purposes.

3 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Generate and deliver your personalized affirmation audio tracks.
  • Create and manage your account and preferences.
  • Process your subscription and purchases through Apple's App Store.
  • Respond to your support requests and communications.
  • Improve, maintain, and develop new features for the Service.
  • Monitor app performance and fix bugs and technical issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising and we do not share your questionnaire answers or affirmation content with third parties for marketing purposes.

4 AI Processing & Third-Party Services

To generate your personalized affirmation scripts, we send your questionnaire responses to third-party AI providers. These providers process your data strictly to perform the service and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

We also use the following third-party services to operate the app:

  • Apple App Store — for app distribution, in-app purchases, and subscription management.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers — for secure data storage and audio file delivery.
  • Analytics tools — to understand aggregate app usage patterns. This data is anonymized and aggregated.
  • Crash reporting tools — to identify and fix technical issues. These tools do not receive your affirmation content.

All third-party service providers are bound by data processing agreements and are required to protect your information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

5 Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained until you delete your account.
  • Generated audio tracks are stored for as long as you maintain an active account, so you can re-listen and re-download at any time.
  • Questionnaire responses used for AI generation are retained to allow you to regenerate and refine your tracks. You may delete these at any time from within the app.
  • Anonymized usage analytics may be retained for up to 24 months for product improvement purposes.

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • All data is transmitted using TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption.
  • Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
  • Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
  • We conduct regular security reviews of our systems and infrastructure.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@hypnotize-ai.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account directly within the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account.

8 Children's Privacy

Hypnotize is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@hypnotize-ai.com and we will take steps to delete that information.

9 International Data Transfers

Hypnotize operates from the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. We ensure that any such transfers are made in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the use of Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, sending a notification through the app or via email.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
